Hello Betty, finally finished!

I have my first finish of 2014! And this is a very special finish. Something that I have learned about us quilter's is that we love to start projects and not always finish them. The blocks in this quilt was actually my very first blocks that I ever made with the very first fabric (Hello Betty by Moda) that I ever bought 3 maybe 4 years ago. I can't even remember. So when I found them I knew I just had to use them.

I added white to make the fabric pop. I had enough scraps to make a border for the top and bottom. It turned out to be 56 x 68 inches.

I'm not sure how my skills where at the time so I just stitched in the ditch to reinforce the seams. I did decide to add a zigzag pattern on the white borders so it wouldn't look to plain.

It's not perfect, but who cares! Overall I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I just want to thank everyone for your comments and support.

Thank You!

  3. I think it's come together beautifully. The white certainly does work to make the colours 'pop'. Great job.
